Gabon film permit
When filming in Gabon, the authority responsible for handling film permits in Gabon is the Gabonese Ministry of Communication. This process might take up to a month before applicants receive their visas, so we recommend that crews plan in advance. The ministry will also require documentation explaining the nature and synopsis of your crews’ project/film. Fortunately, our agents in Gabon are well experienced with handling this process on behalf of the client-all we need are the correct documents.
A separate permit is required for filming in Gabon, in protected areas such as the many National Parks of Gabon. See below for more details on unique permits.
Gabon does offer work visas. All that they require is the correct documentation (letter of invitation, letter of motivation, valid passports).
Agence Nationale de l’Aviation Civile (ANAC) du Gabon is the authority responsible for regulating drone laws in the country. Drones are allowed to be flied and used as long as pilots adhere to the regulations.
Aside from the standard film permits, Gabon also offers unique permits for crews wishing to shoot in protected areas such as the National Parks, and this is handled through the Parks Management Authority. Fortunately we have experience dealing with the PMA and can help facilitate this process.
