Visa and Permit Requirements

Guinea is a wonderful country filled with diverse location opportunities and is well worth it. It truly is a hidden gem of locations. However, the process is time-consuming and can be quite stressful as there are no updates on the process – you are often left in the dark. However, Filmfixers has the network and know-how to address these issues and navigate some of the time-consuming regulatory obstacles. Contact us if you need help to get your Guinea film visas and film permits issued.

VISAS
Guinea visas and film permits are generally obtained through their e-Visa site. However, the process is long and it does help to have a local representative you to the department in the country – this increases the chances of it being accepted, as well as hurrying up the process.  A valid passport, return ticket, yellow fever vaccination is required, including a letter of invitation from a local, which is needed for entry – but we can organise that with you through our contacts, as well as organise a representative.

PERMITS
Permission to film varies from place to place – as in most countries. Photography is monitored, and so it is important to have the support of the officials. We can organise this on your behalf.

Guinea is one of the easiest countries when it comes to equipment. The restrictions are easy when it comes to smaller crews (you can bring in an Alexa, for instance. No questions asked.) However, we would recommend letting us know beforehand so we can contact our local representatives to confirm anything.

Equipment and communication are very limited in Guinea, and so it is advised to bring your required gear in with you.
