WHAT
Het Perfecte Plaatje is an innovative reality show involving professional photographers capturing the perfect picture – or getting eliminated. A collaboration with National Geographic, South Africa was the stage for the gripping final which involved two finalists and 3 distinctly different locations – arty,gritty Johannesburg, traditional dancing in Katlehong township ( a FilmFixers proposal) and wildlife in the beautiful Pilanesberg National Park.
WHERE
Filming in Johannesburg (Arts on main and the general Maboneng Precinct), Katlehong (gumboot dancers) and the Pilanesberg National Park.
HIGHLIGHTS
Putting together the gumboot dancers in the historic Katlehong precinct, and the logistics around shooting in the Pilanesberg, with all permissions and permits. Being part of a National Geographic initiative was good as well, having done work with their National Geographic Adventure magazine in the past.
