WHAT

De Wereld Rond Met 80-Jaren’ was a very novel concept about taking a group of Octagenarians (80-year old’s) on a trip around the world where they each get to live their own personal bucket list experience with each other

WHERE

For the South African leg of the trip, it was all about a Safari experience (for which we went to Aquila Game Reserve) and a Great White shark diving experience (in Gansbaai, of course). We mixed this up with some other iconic Western Cape experiences, including grape stomping at the historic Delheim estate, and a cultural immersion in Mzoli’s in Khalalitsha!

HIGHLIGHTS

Experiencing a hidden gem – the Karoo 1 Hotel in the De Doorns / Hex River Valley area. Always driven past, and always wanted to visit. A real find that we will use again.

And the weird phenomenon in Gansbaai that is now in full-swing – these apex predators, hiding away from some Orca’s that are terrorising them. Africa is a beautiful mystery!
